Results taken from air samples reveal that a body was decomposing in the trunk of a car driven by the mother of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, a local TV station reported.

Detectives with cadaver dogs said in July they detected the smell of human decomposition coming from the trunk of the Pontiac that the mother, Casey Anthony, was driving when police began investigating the dispappearance of her little girl, who was last seen more than two months ago.

The University of Tennessee "Body Farm" conducted the tests on the car's air samples Aug. 10, and on Wednesday their conclusion was released: a human corpse had been decomposing there, according to WESH-2 TV.

Back in July, Caylee's grandmother Cindy Anthony initially made a frantic 911 call to report that her daughter's car smelled like a dead body. She later said the scent just as easily could have been that of rotting pizza.

Casey Anthony, 22, remains a person of interest in her daughter's disappearance on or around June 16. She has pleaded not guilty to charges of child neglect and lying to investigators. She is out on house arrest after posting a $500,000 bond and being released Aug. 21 after a month-long stint in the Orange County Jail.

Caylee was two years old when she vanished; her third birthday was Aug. 9.

The test results are reportedly the first scientific evidence that there was a corpse in Anthony's vehicle.

Anthony has been offered a conditional immunity deal by authorities if she helps with the search, MYFOXOrlando.com reported, but she only has until Thursday to accept the deal, which is contigent upon concrete information that leads to the discovery of Caylee or her remains.

WHAT LIE WILL CASEY TELL NOW?

Hi this is my first time ever, participating in a blog. I don't think she will say anything, no matter what evidence they present to her, deny deny deny. She seems to me a spoilt brat who has been pandered to her whole life.

She doesn't even deserve partial immunity, There was no accident. I am a 23 year old mother of 2 little girls. They are always by my side, I don't forget them in cars, i don't put them in harmful situations, and I don't harm them. Caylee's death was no accident. Casey has had this little girl for 2 and 1/2 years, she should know howto be a mother by now. Giving her partial immunity just to tell them where her body is and say it was an accident is not justice. It's not justice for Caylee, her family, or for most of country who's prayed, cried, and have taken the time out of their lives to help find this precious little angel. Casey needs to be punished for what she did (if she did it, i'm sure she did) and suffer the consequences of her actions, just like anyone else. She's not special and doesn't deserve to be treated special. Hasn't everyone babied her enough?

I totally agree, no soft treatment for her. I don't think the immunity offered her is not to prosecute though, I think the agreement is that they wont use her "words" in court to help their case, only to find Cayley, which leaves them with a case based on physical evidence and the lies Casey told them before the immunity deal was struck. I don't think they need to use anything she will tell them because the evidence will speak for itself. They are doing this so they can find Cayley quickly because that is the very least she deserves. It is devestating and I got that I could'nt watch Cindy Anthony anymore because I thought she was'nt being truthful, but that seems irrelevant now, because that poor woman must be sick to her stomach and beside herself with grief. I have a grandchild the same age as Cayley, and it is too heartwrenching to even begin to think about the place Cindy Anthony is in right now.I can understand her denial to a degree because even I, still dont want to believe that precious baby is gone. Send Casey for a life long vacation with the Sherrif in Arizona, I don't remember his name right now.

What they should do is, beat her HALF to death, then put her in the trunk of a car and forget about her.
